The 5 Pledges
- I believe in a balanced budget and therefore will vote for a freeze in government spending until that goal is realized.
- I believe government should not increase the financial burden on its citizenry during difficult economic times therefore I will oppose all tax increases until our economy has rebounded.
- I believe more than four decades of U.S. dependency on foreign oil is a travesty therefore I will support an energy plan that calls for immediately increasing usage of all domestic resources including nuclear energy, natural gas, and coal as necessary.
- I believe in the sovereignty and security of our country and therefore will support measures to close our borders except for designated immigration points so we will know who is entering in and why and I will vehemently oppose any measure giving any country, the United Nations, or any other entity, power over U.S. citizens.
- I believe the United States of America is the greatest country on earth and therefore will not apologize for policies or actions which has served to free more, and feed more people around the world than any other nation on the planet.
This is a call to the citizens of the United States of America. It is time we stand by our Constitution, and protect it from those who try to bend it for their own needs. The many acts of the government, those that have led our country to wars, terrorist threats, and economic distress, are slowly eating up the very principles and ideals of our country. The founding values through which our Constitution was formed, and through which we have celebrated our freedom from enemies and threats before, are slipping though our fingers.
The 5 Pledges, available for everyone who want to print it out, is to be spread throughout the nation. We will distribute it to every politician and let them decide whether they will take the pledges to heart or not. Are they in, and will they fight for our principles & values as it is written in the Constitution? Or will they deny to vote – we’ll throw them out in 2010?
